description: A built image, and the log group the service created alongside it.
---

```python
@final
class Image
```

A built image, and the log group the service created alongside it.

## Constructor

`Image` declares no `__new__` or `__init__`, so it is not constructed directly: an instance comes back from another call in this package.

## Properties

### `build_log_group`

```python
build_log_group: str
```

`/aws/lambda-microvms/<image-name>`.

The service creates this itself, so no Terraform stack owns it and
`terraform destroy` leaves it behind — "the stack destroyed cleanly" is not "the
account is clean". Six accumulated before anyone noticed.

### `identifier`

```python
identifier: str
```

The image ARN, which is what `imageIdentifier` takes.

### `log_stream`

```python
log_stream: str | None
```

The resolved exact log stream this build's logs went to, when `log_stream` was
configured on the build — the configured prefix plus the per-build `/<16 hex>`
discriminator the client appends. `None` for an unconfigured build (the service
names the streams randomly).

This is the only copy of the resolved name: the discriminator is minted fresh
inside the create call, so a caller who wants to read their build's logs reads it
here or never.

### `name`

```python
name: str
```

### `size`

```python
size: SizeClass
```

The class the requested baseline selected.

Carried on the image because billing follows the baseline requested at *create*
time, and by the time anyone asks what a run cost the request is gone.

### `state`

```python
state: str
```

### `version`

```python
version: str
```

## Special methods

### `__repr__`

```python
def __repr__() -> str
```

## Provenance

This page is generated from `bindings/microvms-py/microvms.pyi` by Griffe 2.3.0, run from `site/scripts/gen-reference.mjs` on every `pnpm run sync`, so an edit made here is overwritten by the next run.

To change the page, change the doc comment in the binding's Rust source, then regenerate the declarations with `mise run stubs`. `mise run stubs:check` fails when the committed file no longer matches the source.
